Dr. Lanie is a faculty-researcher in the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering of the Isabela State University with various research involvements focused on land and water resources and agrometeorology. Dr. Lanie is an experienced crop, watershed and irrigation modeler and a GIS specialist. She has 15 years of experience in research and research management, 8 years of experience in instruction and 4 years of experience in administrative management. Managed researches on watershed management, small scale irrigation projects suitability mapping, farmers decision support system, climate change impacts and irrigation optimization. Frequently requested as resource person on climate change, geographic information system and crop and watershed simulation modeling. Currently the Center Director of the Water Research and Development Center (WReDC) and the Program Chair of the Master of Science in Agricultural Engineering in Isabela State University. Serving as reviewer to various journals such as the Journal of Hydrology, Science of the Total Environment, Scientific Reports, Irrigation Science, Geocarto International, among others.
